Summary (Major Purpose of the Role):
The Logistics Settlement Analyst is responsible for assisting the logistics team settle invoices and freight claims to ensure billing accuracy and prompt vendor payments.
Main Activities/
Responsibilities:
Investigate and approve carrier freight invoices that differ from contractual pricing agreements.
Work closely with carriers and freight payment providers to resolve invoicing disputes.
Perform routine audits of carrier invoices for cost reduction / recovery opportunities.
Assist with freight claims, to recoup money from damaged or mishandled shipments.
Identify trends of carrier compliance to hold partners accountable for invoice accuracy.
Work with FP&A provider to problem solve invoice discrepancies.
As well as any other duties assigned by the Director of Logistics Competencies:
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to formulate questions and investigate issues without direct guidance.
Ability to interact with service providers and internal customers tactfully and productively.
MS Office and Excel skills required.
Education and
Experience:
High School diploma/GED equivalent required.
Experience with SAP or another ERP system is preferred.
2-4 years of experience in warehouse operations, shipping, receiving, logistics and/or transportation preferred.
