Located on a beautiful 4 acre campus in Port Washington, NY, the School is seeking nurturing and collaborative teachers with a Special Education background to join us in serving our students.
This is a full-time position.
The qualified candidate will develop, implement and assess the efficacy of instruction in Middle School and High School Math.
The ideal candidates are experienced independent school teachers with a strong desire to work in a collaborative environment and have a commitment to teaching students with language-based learning disabilities.
Qualifications:
A degree and certification in Special Education required.
Must be able to teach all subjects of High School math.
Independent school experience preferred.
Knowledge of the cognitive, linguistic, and developmental needs of special education students.
Strong classroom management, communication and organizational skills.
Teachers are required to plan engaging and challenging units of study and differentiate instruction as needed.
Teachers are also expected to participate fully in the life of the school, be a team-player, a supportive colleague, and contributing member of the professional community.
