A property caretaker is responsible for taking care of the property, repair & maintenance, gardening, housekeeping, ensuring cleanliness, performing routine maintenance tasks, supervising and managing staff & vendor.
Managing properties Supervising and assisting property staff.
Operating machinery for their duties Effectively communicating with guests and users of the premises he's in caretaking.
Performing routine maintenance and repairs on buildings and grounds Recommending long and short-term maintenance, repairs, safety priorities and solutions to property Manager Maintaining garden & landscape Oversees on-site repair & maintenance with the vendors.
Report to manager for daily work The qualifications required for a facility caretaker.
A high school diploma or GED A current, valid driver's license Strong mechanical aptitude and organizational skills Customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to perform manual labor and use machinery.
Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to handle emergencies and supervise staff.
Flexible schedule a must, as hours may vary at times.
Utmost discretion and professionalism Mandatory to work one day on weekend.
