Accounting Clerk

Luxury home furnishings, rugs & accessories company is looking for a proactive, analytical and highly organized bookkeeper for its accounting team.
This is a great opportunity for a candidate that is good with MS Excel, responsible and detail-oriented individual with the ability to improve existing processes and procedures.

Responsibilities:
o Accounts Payable/Receivables (processing invoices, working with vendors and payment inquiries )
o Process deposits and check payments
o File and maintain company records
o General office duties
o Responsible for accuracy and quality of work processed
o General Bookkeeping duties

Qualifications:
o Accounting experience preferable
o BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
o Excellent with numbers & detail-oriented
o Must be knowledgeable in MS Office and especially in Excel
o Great verbal/writing skills
o Ability to work independently and also as part of a team.
o Detail-oriented individual with an ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
o Good personality, communication and organizational skills

Compensation:
Depending on experience

Company shuttle service available transport commuters to/from the Port Washington LIRR station



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
