Account Specialist, Client Development

Position Overview


Our Technology Practice is seeking an Account Specialist, Client Development who will be highly engaged in enhancing the team?s ability to exceed growth targets by delivering value added services to our clients. The specialist will report to an Account Manager, Client Development, and will own responsibilities centered on analysis, client support, and reporting. The position provides the opportunity to make an impact through existing analytical skills, while developing the knowledge and skills required for continued success in client development and market research.
This position will be based in Port Washington, NY.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Analytics & Insights:



  • Leveraging NPD data to develop insights which help our Clients and Partners grow their business and gain market share

  • Proactively searching for meaningful trends within our data and sharing findings with clients and Technology team members

  • Creating innovative ways to demonstrate the value of NPD?s services first hand through the application of custom analysis

  • Assisting the team in creating client facing materials which align with opportunity cultivation strategies


Client Service:



  • Managing the day-to-day account servicing for our clients, including managing data access rights, training, and answering inquiries

  • Being exceedingly familiar with NPD?s retail point-of-sale and consumer panel data?


Business Development Support:



  • Crafting materials which best position NPD?s services as solutions for our clients

  • Supporting internal KPI tracking reports which help set team initiatives and strategy

  • Managing Salesforce practices for the team

  • Partnering with cross-functional departments to drive initiatives which support the sale and delivery of NPD?s solutions


Client Intelligence:



  • Understanding our Manufacturer Clients? and Retail Partners? organizations and their business strategies, objectives, and challenges

  • Finding meaningful ways to apply intelligence in the client development process


Qualifications



  • Bachelor?s degree

  • 2+ year(s) of prior of experience in a role which utilizes data and analysis to add value through report creation and delivery

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint ? Knowledge of Vlookups, SUMIFS, & Pivot tables is required

  • Highly detail oriented ? with commitment to total quality and data accuracy

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills. Able to set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, multitasking environment

  • Experience or understanding of marketing, and a marketing mindset

  • Self-starter who takes action to achieve goals beyond expectations

  • A desire to learn client services, account management, and sales skills

  • Confident in presenting to small groups via phone or WebEx

  • Very strong oral and written communication skills

  • Willingness to travel (<10%)

  • Exposure to point-of-sale and consumer panel data is a plus

  • Knowledge of, and passion for, the Technology Industry is a plus

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
