Position Overview

The Financial?Analyst is an integral part of the FP&A team. She/he will provide financial support and extensive analytics to the Information Technology and Global Operations departments. This position requires an energetic and ambitious individual willing to drive efficiencies and improvements. Strong financial, analytical and communication (verbal and written) skills are essential.


Responsibilities:

  • Weekly and monthly reporting on business financials, including updating and communicating P&L updates to department heads.
  • Monthly, year-to-date, and annual variance analysis.
  • Supporting month end financial related processes such as financial reporting, allocations, reconciliation, researching journal entries, and P&L reviews.
  • Provide supporting documentation for forecasts, business reviews, and annual budget process ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient execution.
  • Produce corporate business review packages for forecasts and budgets.
  • Support with business development plans throughout the year.?
  • Build and maintain financial models to support internal decision making for a variety of business initiatives.
  • Provide analytics to evaluate business financial performance.
  • Ability to design new reports from Business Intelligence tools (ex. Netsuite, Adaptive, Sisense, etc.)
  • Develop best practices to standardize and automate our current reports and analysis with FP&A team.
  • Deliver effective and timely ad hoc business analysis at the direction or request of others on the management team.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Finance or Business
  • 1-2 years of experience in Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis, Strategic Planning or Consulting
  • Strong and proven analytical skills
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills, including manipulating large data sets, modeling, and charting
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to synthesize information into a clear, concise and compelling message
  • Must be able to proactively engage financial data to make recommendations
  • Ready to back up their assertions with facts
  • Detail oriented with a strong work ethic
  • Independent and positive thinker, self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility
  • Must be able to thrive in an ad hoc environment
  • Must be interested in learning, developing, and asking critical questions.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
