Vehicle Description Intro The iconic BMW 6 series was produced between 1976 and 1989.
This 1988 BMW M6 was the last year for the 5-speed e24 with only 319 cars produced for the U.
S.
market.
It comes with upgraded original BBS wheels, original BMW metric wheels, plus numerous other upgrades.
This beautiful example accumulated just 115,000 miles and features a contrasting black and grey color combination.
This M6 is in south central Pennsylvania and has a clear title.
Exterior The current owner commissioned a very extensive window and seals out repaint in the original BMW color by a painter trained by BMW in Germany.
The exterior paint was previously oxidized from the Arizona sun.
New German made front and rear windshields with and all new window seals were installed after the repaint.
The rubber gaskets around both doors were completely replaced with OEM gaskets as well as were the gaskets around the door handles.
This M6 body is all original except for a new front spoiler (BMW OEM).
Interior The sumptuous eight-way power seats are hand-stitched grey soft Nappa leather in excellent condition.
The current owner also had the SI board rebuilt that controls the instrument clusters, all dash and panel light bulbs replaced.
This beauty also comes with a custom stereo system, (over $4,000), with new amplifier, Focal Speakers and Alpine radio.
The original speaker openings were preserved.
The dashboard is in excellent condition except for a small crack in the mid center that is hardly noticeable but highlighted in one of the pictures.
Suspension The suspension was thoroughly inspected and new Bilstein sport struts, springs, control arms and performance bushings were installed.
The owner replaced the original equipment wheels (included in sale) with BBS Wheels.
Mechanicals The owner recently installed a high-performance clutch and a new water pump.
Any service and preventive service was completed.

Summary The hand built M88 motor in the M6 is dynamic and shares DNA with the BMW M1.
For a car of the '80s, the M6 had impressive performance.
It could leap from 0-60 mph in 6.
1 seconds and do the quarter mile in 14.
7 seconds.
Top speed was about 140 mph.
The core of the M6's attraction is its magnificent 24-valve, double-overhead-cam, sextuple-throttled 6-cylinder engine.
This M6 was lovingly maintained by a serious collector.
Note Carfax alert 10/21/1992 - not actual mileage is incorrect.
This was an error by a clerk at the North Carolina Motor Vehicle Department 10/21/1992 when the car had 19,404 miles.
The odometer on the M6 goes up to 999,000 miles.
It is impossible to drive over a million miles between 2/22/1989 and 10/21/1992 for the odometer to roll over.
Current owner states mileage shown is accurate.
